Salt March

Mahatama Gandhi know that salt is the powerful instrument to unite the nation because only salt is that things which is used by both rich and poor peoples. So on 31 january 1930, he a send a letter to irwin with his 11 demands but irwin don't full his demand so on 11 march mahatama gandhi with his 78 trusted volunteers he marche to the gandhiji's asharam in sabarmati
after covered 240 miles in 24 days he reached to dando on 6 april. This marked the begning of Civil disobedence Movement.

Quit India Movement

On 14 July,1942, the congress working committe passed the Quit India resolution at wardha. It demanded an immediate end to the british rule in india. The all india congress committe met at bombay on august 7,1942 and decided to launch a non violent mass struggle all over the country under the leadership of gandhiji. Gandhiji Raised the solgan of 'Do or Die'. he said that they would either free india or die in the attempt to free india.
In its last phase, the movement was supported by the leaders who had escaped police arrests and went into hiding like Ram Manohar Lohia, Achyut Patwardhan,S.M Etc. The movement continued till the the end of 1943.
